À propos de cet audio

This book contains strong language, and adult themes that may not be suitable for everyone.

Jenny sits in the same seat on the same train every week, seeing familiar faces come and go.

Until a chance encounter shatters her world.

Sixteen years ago, Jenny survived a traumatic ordeal that left her best friend, Susie, missing and presumed dead. The world has its theories about what happened to Susie Patterson, and one of those theories points the finger at Jenny.

Now she lives a quiet life, volunteering at a crisis helpline while trying to deal with her own anxiety and the true crime fans obsessed with finding her missing friend. Then, on the way to her usual shift, Jenny is certain she sees Susie sitting in coach D.

But will anyone believe her?

Seeing Susie plunges Jenny back into a nightmare of forgotten memories and haunting fears. As the past claws its way into her present, she must unravel the truth about what happened sixteen years ago.

But the deeper she digs, the more she realises that some secrets are better left buried.

It was written as though halfway through the story, they forgot what they were going to write and took a hard left turn with a terrible idea and just decided to keep going.

Talk about a plot twist

The story was interesting but I found it very juvenile. The main character was very naive and silly in wanting to please .
Perhaps better enjoyed for someone of that age.
Ended well. At the end Good Epilogue.

An okay book

The book was much too long and I became bored toward the middle. It was quite predictable and I was beginning to lose interest.

I thought this story was really well put together. I must admit that I was a step ahead of the author most of the time, but I still thought she did a great job.

Intriguing!

I liked the story. I got frustrated with the characters at times because I wanted them to react a different way. I liked the ending and would recommend this book

entertaining to the end

I struggled to get through this one. Normally I finish my audio books in a day but this one took about 2 weeks. I did enjoy the last part of the book more than the beginning. It’s almost like two different books merged into one. Very different and I’m not sure if that’s in a good way .

Slow beginning and took an unexpected twist half way through

not what i expecting

This Sarah A. Denzil story is interesting and populated with fascinating characters - but suffers from the frustratingly overused "repressed memories" plot device, an off-putting "hey, this murderous drug-fuelled cult I joined is great!" storyline, and dreadfully slow pacing. Foreshadowing and multiple timelines with drip-drip-drip revelations keep the tale moving.. but I frequently found myself hoping that the author would just get on with it already. Her odd preoccupation with the protagonist's sexual frustration in particular just interferes with plot progression and drags the story out unnecessarily.

As to presentation: Reader Katie Clarkson-Hill is the best part of this audiobook. I would listen to more from Miss Clarkson-Hill any day. Audible Studios Inc. cast this project wonderfully.

Altogether, 'The Woman In Coach D' merits 7/10-stars. It was a fine distraction as a 'Plus' option.. but if it leaves the free catalog, keep browsing for something that proceeds more smoothly.

Good Book. Awful Pacing.
