À propos de cet audio
This book, written from the perspective of a child, provides a snapshot of a world that no longer exists, a world that is gone with the wind. As Baby Boomers exit the world by increasing numbers, what our world was like, what we experienced growing up, will soon be forgotten.
It was a world totally alien to what kids experience today. We were mischievous back then. Even from a very young age, we got into everything, especially trouble, but I wouldn’t change what we experienced for anything. I’m convinced that our adventures have made us tougher, more resilient adults. We definitely learned from them.
Jacky & Dicky is 100 percent authentic, including the dialog, profanity, and all. Twisting reality to make it more palatable, to make it conform to what is acceptable three quarters of a century later, would have been a mistake. To have imposed 21st century standards and values on mid-20th century life would have done you, the listener a disservice.
So everything I have written is exactly the way it was back then. Jacky & Dicky is a wild ride, one I’m certain you will enjoy.
