it was okay

Not as good as movie
Usually when it comes down to it, the book is pretty much always better than the movie. But Jaws is an exception. Not saying the book isn't good, it was definetly a good book! But it really doesn't come near the masterpiece that the movie is, which can probably can be chalked up to Speilburgs directorial magic.

Still a decent book after all these years
I admit, I first read this book when I was about 9 or 10 years old, after we saw the movie on television. I thought it was a pretty good book as a kid and even as an adult. However, I don't think it's brilliant and it doesn't stand the test of time like authors such as Austen, Dickens, Trollope (for example) do. I thought Erik Steele did an excellent job narrating this book. I was happy this book was free to listen to as part of Audible's Plus Catalogue instead of paying a full credit for this.

Read the book when I was a kid. Brings back memories
Liked the narration. This story does not grow old. I remember not being able to swim (even in a pool) because I remember the way the shark was described in the book.

Really good book.
So without a doubt I love the movie more than this book, definitely a lot of differences but the book is so good and enjoyable. I couldn't believe the difference in the ending.
