Delivery jobs don’t usually come with a side of heroism.

Husband and wife duo Jay and Char run a transport starship-for-hire. They haul cargo and passengers across the galaxy—for the right price. Is it the prestigious job Jay’s mother wished he had? No, but disappointing her was nothing new.

When a pair of nonhuman travelers booked passage on Jay and Char’s ship, they failed to mention the whole host of trouble they’d be bringing with them. Now, the fate of the galaxy is in jeopardy, and it’s somehow up to a pair of middle-aged interplanetary freight haulers to fix it.

And the bigger question is: Will saving the galaxy finally be enough to make it onto Jay's mom's holiday brag letter?
