Description
About the audiobook: David Fitzgerald’s award-winning 2010 book Nailed: Ten Christian Myths That Show Jesus Never Existed at All pointed out the top 10 fatal flaws of Christianity’s origin story. Now, Jesus: Mything in Action presents the most compelling new findings in Jesus myth theory and critically examines its controversial reception by biblical scholars, the extent and reliability of our sources for Jesus, and the surprising history behind Jesus’ evolution.
In this volume: Mything in Action, Vol. III (chapters 19-25) presents a bold thought experiment: “The Gospel According to H.G. Wells”, a multi-chapter time-travel expedition through the origins and evolution of Christianity.

Excellent!
Having "read" (thank you Audible) On the Historocity of Jesus, I found the first volume of this book to be alot of repetition and paraphrasing from Dr. Carrier and other scholars. The second volume was a bit more of a "slog" but only because of my own ignorance of the rest of the New Testament. Let's face it most "Christians" really only know the nativity and crucifixion story of Jesus. Where David Fitzgerald really shines is in his third volume or the Gospel of H. G. Wells. The fictional trip we take through history to look at the proposed beginnings of Christianity and all the factors influencing its start is perhaps the best way to show just how a myth can get its start. David Fitzgerald does an excellent job of compiling all the facts together to propose, and in my opinion, prove the theory of Mythicism.
