Well written but 2 Dimensional

While this book does a decent story of Joan of Arc, the author views everything through a gendered lens, ensuring that the actions are always either in the struggle against misogyny or for it. It results in a story that is disappointingly 2 Dimensional and gives no credit to religious concerns outside of gender based thinking.
