The Interlace Book 1: A Science Friction Novel & The Interlace Book 2: Return to Vesta books explored the fall and rise of Dr Jurgen Fenner, a man whose life was shaped by betrayal, grief, and a drive for redemption. In this third instalment: The Interlace: Jurgen’s Story we dig deeper to expose both the greed and corruption within the corporate world of his prior roles where he worked in an atmosphere of profit taking precedence over humanity. We also meet new allies that have their own legacy that started from reason to treason.

Beginning as an idealistic project engineer, Jurgen is recruited to OPUS to implement cutting-edge interstellar connectivity technologies. However, his optimism soon fades as he witnesses cost-cutting measures that compromise safety. When he raises concerns, his warnings are ignored, and his reputation is threatened by ‘so called’ colleagues. Disillusioned, he resigns, only to see OPUS acquired by EPIC, a company that later denies his wife access to a life-saving drug.

Overwhelmed by regret, he joins EPIC, to covertly expose its greed from within. EPIC failures are further exposed routing back to OPUS—In particular, a manned mission fatality, close to Mission Commander Dr Betty Chung’s heart.

The story expands into epic dreamscapes, with a thread of tenderness running through it all.
