The story was enjoyable and had some food for thought. Regardless, I couldn't shake off the disgust that the protagonist gave me. Her "coolness" aged like milk, and I can barely imagine her being cool even in her time, despite how much she praises herself every paragraph. If that was intentional - I applaud the consistency. Not every character needs to be a good person, I guess.
