Richard Rison, who earned the title of a warden, narrates his experience working in different correctional facilities, how he identified the flaws in the system and felt the need to develop a unit management model based on his experiences.
Undertaking the societal, governmental, and political challenges, Richard Rison made an effort to manage the inmates. He understood their needs and the possible ways that could be implemented to improve the prison management systems. Richard Rison compares his service to a pastor’s service, David Rison, as they both are in different professions yet share a common motive. Richard Rison’s memoir Keeper of Lourd’s highlights how he stayed motivated despite facing challenges in his life and found his way to be called a “warden.”
