A fine prequel to the adventures of Beobrand which follows his ill-fated brother, Octa. I won't spoil it, but the story could furnish events that could spawn a famous historical epic. Great atmospheric read as we follow warriors on a quest to end a menace to the people of Bernicia. if you haven't tried Harffy, this is a great place to start.
