After spending my entire pro golfing career being known as the quiet, controlled, no-nonsense golfer on the tour, there's nothing more humiliating than throwing all of that down the drain on national television. Needing some place to hide, to lick my wounds and figure out what I even want to do with my life once this blows over, I can only think of one place I need to be. Summersweet Island, where everyone treats me like one of their own, and they'll all be happy to have me home again.

Well, except maybe one person. It's been two years since I last set foot on Summersweet Island or spoke to anyone there. But I'm sure Birdie Bennett, my best friend since I was 15 and the clubhouse manager of my favorite golf course, has had plenty of time to forgive me for that tiny little misunderstanding where I blocked her on social media and blocked her in my phone. Oh, and I guess I kind of, sort of accused her of being a stalker. It's fine!

Once my sexy, spunky, former best friend gets over the shock of seeing me again and stops trying to drive a nine-iron into my skull, I can finally let her know I've also kind of, sort of always been in love with her....

30 years old, and the MFC is the most immature, infuriating character. Disappointed with the author. Went from 5 stars until the last hour where she just dragged and dragged the story and dialed the MFC's immaturity and ridiculousness. The whole miscommunication trope was dialed to a 1000 and just ruined this whole novel for me. I was gonna purchase the second book in the series, but now I'm not sure.

I’m probably alone on this one, but I find the affectation in Navarro’s voice distractingly annoying - the modern day “Valley Girl”. If you can get past it, the story is a great listen.

I really enjoyed the writing of this fun romantic story. I am looking forward to the next one in the series. Agree with the previous comments about the narration. Felt like the narrator was trying a little too hard to read the story in a steamy voice (but it didn’t deter me from listening to it several times)

Light hearted story. To be listened with headphones if you aren’t alone. ;) it’s great, especially since it is included in membership. Makes me want to listen to the next one. ❤️

A Happy sometimes steamy listen

The narrator drags out the final syllable of most words to the point of serious distraction. So much so I may not be able to finish this book. Example would be “reviewwww” or “narrationnnnn”. Valley Girl affectation to the extreme.
The story has to develop more than how horny each feels as soon as they see each other. Gets tiring.
