Tommy Buttertin is different from the other kids in Griddle-earth. He does not talk. He might not look you in the eyes, and he relies on structure and routine to get through the day. But like his brother, Chris, and most other kids, he’ll do almost anything for a tall stack of pancakes smothered in sweet, gooey syrup.
Tommy and Chris share a dream: to become knights, just like their father. When King Greasworth invites Chris to begin training for knighthood, the brothers are overjoyed, until the king informs them that Tommy does not have the strength to be a knight. Chris knows Tommy is just as capable and brave as any knight could be. He just needs a chance to prove it to himself and to everyone else.
Tommy’s chance arrives more quickly than expected when an Ice Dragon threatens their city, Stove’s Landing. With the help of I-doll and Chris, Tommy must travel to the edge of Griddle-earth, save the kingdom, and prove himself once and for all.
