In my experience, one can never go wrong with a Morse story, whether in print, TV or audio. The literate writing reflecting Colin Dexter's career adds a little class to the whole 'endeavor'.

Very good narration by Samuel West.

I read this series many years ago, so long ago I'd forgotten the storylines. I only remembered that they were excellent and the audio book does not disappoint. Colin Dexter's twists and turns always leave one guessing and captivated.

Dexter’s novels require close attention just because Inspector Morse’s approach to cases can be so tortuous but I find them worth it. Very enjoyable.

Too misogynistic for me now though I recall enjoying reading these many years ago. The tv shows are less offensive —think I’ll stick with them in future
