Rezkin is an elite warrior who aims to restore order in Ashai after Caydean's attack on the King's Tournament transformed former allies and trading partners into enemies. I have grown fond of the characters in KDT, and the overall story arc remains interesting, but it's getting a bit soapy for me. I think this is the best narrated of the series so far, and I've gotten to quite like the performer. There remains the problem that Rezkin is pretty Herculean, and barely needs any of his friends, though this book slightly diminishes that, thankfully.

Rezkin and Wesson are fascinating characters and I can’t wait to read what will happen next, the narration and story are amazing

excellent series so far. took unexpected turn into the more supernatural and fantasy. perhaps a necessary dive this direction to learn more of Rezkin rather than just to have him do his ultimate goal.
