À propos de cet audio

This is for those who wish to continue the journey we started in part 1. Now we are going to learn how to use the knowledge to streamline product development and manufacturing processes.

  • Clearly explained and easy to understand.
  • Additional sections on requirements and flow rules.
  • Practical Scenarios to reinforce the method and show how it applies everywhere
  • Explanation of how to run a streamlining project using a proven approach.
  • Based on 20 years first-hand aerospace experience
  • Relaxed and enjoyable style with a serious amount of knowledge transfer

Imagine that you have arrived in an area of a product development company that you have never visited before, you don’t know what they do, but your job is to work out how they can do it better; cut out the issues with their way of working and make it more streamlined. This is not a trivial task. How are you going to do we do this?

The approach is simple and repeatable. We know that the most streamlined processes are the ones that comply with the behavioral model that we uncovered in part 1. We simply compare real implementations to the model, look for the gaps, and when we find gaps, we fix them. This is a repeatable approach for all products and everywhere within the product development process.

At the end of this short book you should understand how to approach the task of streamlining both product development and series manufacturing.

From the Author

I have spent many years doing the type of job where we do business analysis to look for issues with the current way of working and implement computer systems to update an area of a company. This is my opportunity to share my proven approach. I hope you find this useful.
