Lil Mz. Understood

Growing up in a small town in North Carolina coined "L Dub" by young hip locals, Missy is a very beautiful and intelligent young woman, but her life is about to go through some crazy changes. Being a teenager is hard enough but when you're faced with social and personal issues, everything seems even more confusing for you. Missy's home life is pretty typical in the environment she is forced to grow up in. Not having enough money and looking for a quick come up to try and help her struggling family she tries her hand at selling drugs which turns out horribly for her. She is busted in school for the illegal possession and sale of a controlled substance and sent to a juvenile detention center. Her new environment is a place she never envisioned going and she sets out to make a change for the better if she is released. While out for good behavior she is faced with peer pressure when an opportunity to make quick money is presented to her despite her impending court date. She also has problems in her love life where she feels pain for the first time. On Missy's journey she learns firsthand about betrayal, true friendship and loving someone unconditionally.
