I didn't want to stop listening... well written, and beautifully narrated! This "girl next door" grew into a well-rounded woman on all fronts. A charmed life with the ups-and-downs of celebrity and fame; it was interesting to hear first-hand about her experiences: her young acting success on One Day at a Time, her love story with EVH, her challenges with her career into womanhood, her dedication to motherhood, and her personal struggles with her weight and self-esteem. A very open, vulnerable, and telling account of her life - full of love and grace, conflicted with uncertainty and self-doubt. Valerie paints a vivid picture of her beauty and her flaws, never once sounding like a victim, but sounding like a woman who has finally found and accepted herself. Loved this book, thanks Valerie!
