War has a way of following some people....

John Eric Carver and Shrek are a retired Navy SEAL war dog team, now living in the mountains outside of San Diego. Both man and dog thought their life was now settled, finding peace on the 40-acre ranch they had moved to. But life, and a mutated virus, changed all that.

Now, they have to survive a worldwide pandemic. Taking refuge in a nearby Boy Scout camp, he leads a group of teens and their parents as they are forced to deal with infected creatures that are rapidly consuming the world. Will John and Shrek survive another war, or will this be the end of the line for the SEAL team?

Good story, by the narrator almost made it un listenable! I am going to read the next booked to see if that help!

The concept that a virus could so completely change the physical appearance, going from human mouth and teeth to form the round sucking mouth shape of a lamp ray with needle like teeth..in just a couple hours is utterly ridiculous. Likewise for infected coyotes to form armor plates in their body...it utterly ridiculous.

The narration was ok for most of it, but the last 1.5 hours was hard to listen to. it was so far over the top in trying to sound dramatic that I got a headache from rolling my eyes back in my head, and wished for it to be over ....quickly!

I won't be buying a sequel...I could never listen to that over the top narration for a whole book.

Too unbelievable, even for a fantasy.

Fell in love with this story

I’ve read some of the other books out of this series and I really like it. So I expected to like this one as well which I did. The narrator Bronson Pinchot is my most favourite narrator. He’s excellent at what he does. He brings the story to life for me. He has a very good grasp of using different voices for characters and sticking with that voice. So yes I heartily recommend this book.
