The book is small pick me girl who had a bad childhood meets controlling emotionally manipulating big man demon. It’s ok if you really like that kind of story. The audio readers sound good and do a great job making the story less cringe.

loved that there were 2 narrators to provide the depth of feeling and tones from both Varek and Juliette's POV

Honestly, I only got this book to listen to Salinas. As is customary for female leads, she found a problem for every solution and so she was a little unlikeable. I skipped through a few of her parts. I love that we got equal parts the development of their love and a little excitement from their challenge. However, the problem they had to sopeve did not take up too much of the story.
I may listen to book 3 to hear how Sasha's story worked out.
There is an okay amount of spice but the story makes up for it. I don't see myself listening again but I'm glad I listened at least once.

I really enjoyed this book. I was a bit hesitant because I haven't read any demon romance books. The hard childhood of the protagonist intrigued me though. It gives the book more depth than a lot of romance novels. the narrators were quite excellent. i am looking forward to reading more of the series and am going to check out to see if there are more books by this author. Worth the credit.

I enjoyed this book from beginning to end. It was not predictable and had a touch of mystery in it. The spice was also good.
