Forced to deal with bureaucratic oversight and a complex team of personalities, Rock Crandon pushes his team to their limits.
With pressure mounting, the world is pushed closer to conflict and war as the NASA team finds itself seriously behind in the newly initiated space race. I really liked that even though a new space race would probably involve some military action on the part of the superpowers it wasn't the focus of the story. It was more of a complicating factor the scientists and engineers had to work with or around in interesting and creative ways.
Will definitely continue to book 2 in the series, hopefully we hear about what's happening in the rest of the world and not just The States, Russia and China in the later books.
