Needed to listen to narration on 1.25 speed to tolerate his acting like a 17yo stoner. The plot was also blah, a player highschool kid finally realizes a woman's worth in the first week of college.

Don't these authors listen to the people performing their books? The story is ok, there's some mystery but it's also kind of predictable.

I only listened because I absolutely love K Webster and wanted to check out her book (#5) but I like having all the background so I'm stuck listening to this nails on a chalkboard narration. Ew, just ew, don't quit your day job surfer dude.

Completely Ruined by Narration

Ok this book alone I would say is probably 4 stars but this book is also responsible for setting up a lot of the overall story over the 7 books.
I have read them all a few years ago and saw they were included in audible so now I am listening to them. The narrator at first I didn’t like but grew use to him and didn’t mind him after a bit. The story as a whole is really good and each guy getting its own story each with one larger story I thought was great. It’s a great listen and definitely worth it when the books are included in the audible subscription:)
