This was giving UK Gossip Girl vibes and I ate it up! It was fast paced, and drama filled. It's the first book of the series, and tells the story of Magnolia and her close knit group of friends, including her ex-boyfriend BJ. I will definitely be continuing this series! The narrators were amazing :)

As good as the audiobook readers were, this book is just terrible and no amount of good storytelling can fix that

I have seen a lot of reviews about this book that are negative. It is a journey that only gets better as you keep going. By the end of book #5 the full circle moment for these characters is phenomenal. The audiobooks are pure gold. KEEP READING. They only get better!

Excellent narration. So happy I listened to those that suggested this via audiobook.

British gossip girl, extremely toxic relationships. Like trash tv- can’t look away. Author does an amazing job of making it feel like you are watching a horribly addictive reality tv show.

I really enjoyed the deep storytelling and well though out characters. I wasn't expecting to feel so torn up the entire time. She tears your heart out of your chest. The back and forth between the characters drags a tad but Magnolia is so raw and they make a simple love story really deep and complicated. 5 stars but be prepared for an artsy, deep kind. of sad but glamorous read!

gossip girl but heartbreaking

The only things this book has in common with Gossip Girl is lots of money and young drama. Comparing this is an insult to GG IMO. Such a toxic infinite loop, the same thing played over and over again in different settings, not worth the credit at all.

I also thought the Audible ( itself not the actual narrators) was terrible, clips patched together and inconsistent volume.

I truly am baffled - After I heard so many people rave about it I was expecting a good book but this is just pure idiotic - I am so sorry but it's an extremely toxic and unhealthy relationship mixed with meaningless sex and incredibly vain/conceited thoughts.

There is no substance to the plot line whatsoever and all the characters are infuriating - even the parts that are meant to be 'cute' are often preceded and followed up by just ridiculous events.

The audiobook also has all these weird voices that come in an different times to say a weird that maybe the missed while recording? I don’t know but after a while it got a bit annoying.

What are we liking about this book?

Lacked anything interesting, it circled the most mundane story line over and over again, didn’t go anywhere. I never want to read anything by this author ever again.

there was not a single thing I enjoyed about this book. Magnolia is embarrassingly desperate and cringe with zero self-esteem. I can’t believe i wasted a credit on this book…. also did not like the voice used to narrate BJ, wasn’t sexy at all
