Mail Order Bride: Lord, Please Heal My Sick Cowboy takes place shortly after the Civil War and is an inspirational story of love and faith in God’s healing touch. After responding to a mail order bride advertisement, Carissa can’t wait to meet her hopeful husband. She strongly feels that the Lord is leading her to the Californian cowboy (Joshua) and his large ranch. After finally arriving, Joshua shows her a love and happiness she has never felt before. However, things soon take a dark turn when he contracts an illness that he can’t seem to overcome. Time goes by, but Joshua’s health becomes progressively worse. Carissa becomes scared that she will not be able to truly show her love to Joshua and prays for God’s healing touch upon him.
