À propos de cet audio

Is it possible to make a living while giving away your work for free Online? Yes.

Is it hard? Yes.

Is it worth it? Absolutely.

After 15 years stuck behind a desk in the software industry, Bob Clagett walked away from a well-paying, stable job to make the things he was interested in and show the world how to make them, too. His company, I Like to Make Stuff, started as a hobby but quickly grew into a passion project.

In "Making Time", Bob recounts his history and build-up to becoming a full-time content creator, and shares his process, experiences, and mistakes from his first two years of self-employment. The audiobook covers topics from income streams to emotional exhaustion as well as Bob's thoughts on purpose and responsibility.

I purchased this book to support Bob. I appreciate the video he makes, I appreciate the podcasts he does. Bob is excellent and demonstrating his ethos when he's talking with other people and answering direct questions. This book (possibly as a function of being written over the course of 2 years), meanders disjointedly through some points that Bob has addressed in his podcasts.
Bob, if you read this, I appreciate that you went out and wrote something. It's just like any other project we all tackle, often the first iteration isn't exactly what we want and we take what we learn on to the next project. Please keep making things, all things written and unwritten.
