À propos de cet audio
An Adepta Sororitas novel.
In the wake of the war for Ophelia VII, Battle-Sister Evangeline of the Order of Our Martyred Lady embarks on a crusade into the darkness that lies beyond the Great Rift, seeking vengeance and revelation, but surviving the journey will only be the first and most simple test of her faith.
Listen to It Because: Delve into Imperium Nihilus with a tale of faith and fury that looks at the nature of the Adepta Sororitas and their place in the new Dark Imperium.
The Story: With the birth of the Cicatrix Maledictum the Imperium of Mankind suffers as never before. Conflict and corruption is rife on every front and precious little hope remains, save for those who hold to their faith when faced with destruction....
Denied a martyr’s death during the battle for Ophelia VII, Sister Evangeline of the Order of Our Martyred Lady is blessed with a new and grave duty: to embark on a pilgrimage beyond the Great Rift to recover a precious and powerful artefact - the Shield of Saint Katherine. Accompanied by the enigmatic Inquisitor Ravara, who seeks her own closure in the veiled regions beyond the Rift, Evangeline must find a way to bear the weight of this unasked-for destiny if she and her Sisters are to succeed in restoring a fragment of light to this new dark Imperium.
Written by Rachel Harrison.

I found this book very slow and sometimes drags on and then Points of excitement over too quickly.
The inquisitor was probably the bast parts as she felt the the most well write character with interesting motivations for her actions.
Sister Evangeline was kinda annoying and whiny and did not feel like she had any personal motivations to her other then she has too. Then always saying I’m unworthy so much that I just made the book drag on.
If you are thinking of listening to this book I would it’s a okay book but definitely very slow at time making it difficult to listen too.
Failed to hook me

As for the audio performance, it was okay. I did appreciate that there were two performers for the two different characters, with voice matched to the character, however this resulted in frustrating, avoidable, differences such as the two readers pronouncing the same character's name differently.
Overall, I had high hopes that were disappointed.
Just okay, has some issues

The voice actor of the inquisitor is quite good but the voice actor for the Sororitas is awful. Odd voice emphasis that seems so out of place to the story. Her pronunciation is also odd. Out of synchronization with the other voice actor. I tried to get through it but it was just too bad for me to struggle with it. Where’s Emma Gregory where you need her?
Dreadful
