The spice is fun and the quality of the writing is ok, the world building is great! This is a love triangle story featuring two meek sweethearts and a hateable asshole who I kept hoping would get launched into the sun so the story would focus on the two protagonists who are likeable.

Male lead 1 (Stoneheart) is a massive asshole. Obviously, that's totally fine because he has childhood trauma and feels bad /sarcasm. He is the driver of most of the drama by treating the female lead with derision ... ew.

Male lead 2 (Ben) is a workaholic with a cinnamon roll heart. If he was wound any tighter he would probably explode and yet I enjoyed that.

The female lead (Stella) talks a big game about being strong and holding people accountable but unfortunately she is in fact a horny doormat and is willing to overlook any and all bad treatment when she is lustful. And she's horny 95% of the time. It's played off as "she's so pure and forgiving, she just has a big heart". And like, girl really? Have you zero pride?? Pitiful wench behavior.

It's overall a fun, if frustrating read. I wish the drama came from external sources so the narrative did not require one of the characters to be so hateable.
