À propos de cet audio

With a new game, Mass Effect Andromeda, set for release in 2017, the launch of a new series of Mass Effect novels is timely. The new game will take the story in a dramatic new direction and is set in a new region of space, with a new and deadly enemy.

Titan is publishing four unmissable Mass Effect novels. The novels will act as prequel and sequels to the events in the games and will become part of the overarching Mass Effect saga. These new stories, developed in close collaboration with the Bioware game team, weave directly into the action of the new game - and will reveal events kept secret over the course of game play - and will add to the canonical Mass Effect saga.

Worst yet

The story itself was fairly boring and the characters juvenile and over the top. Story rating is 2/5.

The narrator, Tom, is absolutely fantastic 5/5 for his talent.

Tom Taylorson is a very talented VO

Fantastic reading, with all the different voices for all characters and many species involved in the Mass Effect universe.

Amazing performance

Based on the first few chapters it seemed like a book that was simply a paycheque. There are several lore inconsistencies, like Aria being portrayed as a slaver or omni-tools being made of shiny metal, that don't fully mesh with the original series. But while these lore representations are debatable, the book is full of new exploration of the less examined species from the original trilogy, all of which I found to be quite compelling.

Yorick, an Elcor who literally changed his name after auditioning for Elcor Hamlet, is probably my favorite character.

The book is an ever accelerating sci-fi pulpy detective story, with stakes raising at every turn. Computers are hacked, impossible bio-weapon plagues decimate the crew, emotions run high, accusations fly in every direction. At one point I thought it would end like a Shakespearian tragedy, in a way it almost does.

Better than expected, best for fans of OG ME

This was a surprise. More political then action. Fantastic writing. Encourage all fans to read!.

Great story, but too bad it wasn't in the game.

it's a interesting audiobook with interesting characters. It has a good detective feel to it, in which you keep wondering who is/are the bad guys or if there are bad guys at all.

Nice characters

The story and narration are infinitely better than Uprising. While I enjoyed Fryda as Ryder, she just couldn't work Uprising into anything beyond meh. Polish a turd and it's still a turd. This story actually made sense.

so much better than Nexus Uprising

I've only played through "Mass Effect: Andromeda" once, but for whatever reason 3 years later I remembered that this book was published and decided to give it a listen. I have to say, I'm pleasantly surprised and glad I did. This book is a relatively solid murder-mystery that's made 3x more enjoyable by the outstanding narration. However, although I won't say too much, there is a part towards that end where 2 characters who've had no prior romantic hintings finish their ark off by sharing a kiss. This is easily the worst part of this entire book, as it comes completely out of nowhere and was very obviously thrown in as an afterthought because somebody was worried about not being "inclusive" enough. Overall I'd say I enjoyed it though, and aside from a few awfully convenient coincidences and forced Hamlet references, I had no other major problems with it.

Best book in the Andromeda trilogy, great narrator
