I would highly recommend reading the physical book/ ebook. This audio book is horrible. Rebecca does not have a good recording voice. I'm sure it's fine live, but I have a very hard time listening to it on audio....

The narrator was clear, had a sense of humour, and didn't over-dramatize. The writing was razor sharp, intelligent, and well researched and the narrator's interpretation made it a series repeated of "Aha!" moments. Well worth the time and money spent.

Overall the story was interesting and well written, however the narration was terrible. The tone, enunciation of the words and general intonation did not match the content being read. It made it ver difficult to listen to and I had to turn it off several times and come back to the book at a later date.

I had to read this when in the right headspace. In addition to fuelling your feminist fire, she points out the obvious injustices that still exist. Why don’t we talk about how almost all violence is perpetuated by men? Why don’t we teach boys not to rape women?
This is short and sweet and totally worth the listen for everybody.

I guess it just felt all over the place. It starts out with an anecdote that frames men as the issue but then goes through the author's bibliography, adoration for Virginia Wolfe and personal successes. Tirades on the evils of the IMF and other global systems also appear along with celebrations of feminism and a deluge of hand-picked stats. What was the point of it all?

had it for free so can't complain much about it. Was expecting something else like going in depth of male behavior we do: mansplaining, manspreading, manterupting, etc

Some parts of the book feel like it was going around it circles. Maybe that I was missing knowledge. Anyway, I like when things are concise and have possible solutions to known problems

Not where I thought this book would go but still very interesting. Left alot to think about afterwards but it's also heavy and made me a bit sad. Which, truth does often make people sad.

The narrator either could not or just did not express any of the personality of the writing. Very odd listening experience.

I was expecting this to be about guys always explaining things like they know more than everyone and instead it's all about rape and feminism. not my cup of tea. I gave up at the beginning of chapter 3. not sure what men are explaining with a bunch of rape statistics
