Loved this sweet romance. The voice acting was over the top amazing. The beginning of the story dragged a bit but overall i absolutely loved this book. Make sure you go to the website to listen to the bonus chapter that takes place 2 years after this story, it is the perfect ending.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - This was my first book by Lauren Blakely and I thoroughly enjoyed it!

I had a bit of a hard time with Rowan sort of ruining his daughter’s experience with Christmas (refusing to engage with anything seasonal) due to his own seasonal trauma, but somehow I couldn’t hate him?

Connor and Vanessa are two of my favourite narrators and both did an amazing job with this one - Connor seemed to have a slightly sexier edge in this which doesn’t come out in every book he does so I loved that!

My only real complaint about this book was the narrator choice for Rowan’s daughter Mia. With a full cast narration including Vanessa Edwin as the FMC and Samantha Brentmoor as a couple of the secondary characters, I do not understand for the life of me why one of them was not cast here as they both do amazing jobs with child characters. Instead, we had someone who literally sounded like a grandmother for a 9 year old and it really took me out of the story every time she spoke.

Slow burn and forbidden yearn! With the full cast of voices this is another holiday treat!
