It was like I was in high school again, listening to the story of twilight for the first time. Just enough familiarity to make it nostalgic, but so much new perspective that you fall in love with the characters again.

I want to dig deeper into Edward's perspective. I would like to understand more of his emotions and thought process during moments like when he left Bella, their marriage, and especially when Bella became pregnant. And her becoming a vampire!! I wish there was more of this, to have another version of the books but only to Edward’s perspective.

As anticipated as this was for me. I ended up finding it hard to get through passed the halfway point. Mostly, it was because of this being repeated events and as I got more reminded of it from Twilight, the retelling wasn't as great for me. the saving grace of it was the way quite a few of them were described by Edward's mind. It did make the read worth it.

My friend and I did a book club read along for this and treated it as a character study of Edward and the Cullen's and we had a great time! The characters have their toxic flaws but getting more info and lore tied with it and it was great to come back to forks.
