Fiction -- Not True as claimed
Children's book. The more I read, the more I realized that there is no way this could possibly be a true story. Far too fantastical. About 2/3 of the way through I googled it and found others who thought the same. It was researched by one of Amazon's reviewers and sure enough it was all a lie.

I love this story. It's mystical and written with love and see. If any story deserved a movie, it's this one!

What an adventure!
Truly astounding. Such love! A true new love and adoration for elephants. It is difficult to fathom one person (and elephant) could experience so much in their lifetime.

You become captivated by the incredible story or an elephant and a man growing up together. The narrator did an excellent job.

True Story?
This book was entertaining and sweet, but for a book that claims to be a true story, it seems fictional. Maybe it’s the way it was written. There is a lot of dialogue which I can’t imagine the author would actually remember everything he said let alone what others said, word-for-word. Also, the book was just one unbelievable event after the next until the book ends. I finished the book, but unfortunately I wouldn’t recommend it to a friend.

Wow, incredible story! It just aches my heart when i hear of animal, child, elderly, spousal abuse. How heartless are some people. God bless, well, He actually alteady blessed Braum, with the love of an animal. Rip to all Mo’s friends.

Good story; Horrible narration
If you can get past the extremely sappy over dramatic narrator, this is actually a good story. He sounds like he’s trying out for the part of his life with every dripping word! Speeding the pace helps. I don’t know how much is true but it’s a rich story where nothing happens the way you guess it will.
