Description

Ben and Mira have set off on their raft to travel to the nearest island. There, they encounter a race of beautiful, long-legged deer women, and Ben meets the woman his daughter Marella foresaw in a vision.

But this isn’t just a fun vacation.

The voyaging duo will be put to the test against aquatic sea monsters, rabid bunnies, vicious wargs, and Ben’s mortal enemy: The orcs.

Different narrator

I have heard daniel and marrisa before and they are good narrators however two books in i am attached to the original narrators especially jessica threet she is one of my favorite female narrators of all and to see her gone is just a major heart break she acted out her parts perfectly and sadly marrissa is not on the same lvl. Dont get me wrong marrisa is good just not as good in my opinnion. Hope to hear her back

A Continued Hit

Though not as hot and sexy as the last two books this adventure is as riveting as a fantasy novel gets. I’m definitely looking forward to the next book.

Okay....okay, I am addicted.

The second book was a hard finish, but you know what they say "third times the charm". Well, know I need more.
The series has entered a great self-insert, feel good, steamy, and rather interesting setting.
I need to do more... research.

keep it going

Jacobs definitely knows how to keep you entertained. It was interesting to see how Ben handled the different challenges that came with this new island. Can't wait to read more.

Bring on the Fawns

Another islands full of mythical female characters. And all dead sexy too. I like the balance of action combined with sex. Sometimes these type of stories have sp much sex that the story suffers. But this one has more story content and the sex scenes accent it well. Great job, keep it up

The Battle of Mary Sue Island

i have a few issues with this but the performance is not one, although the dragon king is somewhat over the top and all to eager to get these women to be killers. The word bastard is used far to often, SERIOUSLY find more creative insults next time.

Big Problem with how stupid the orcs are here. this is despite the obvious fact they're far more technologically advanced then any of the tribes of who have once again mysteriously had all thier males killed, by the time our heroes show up, even the children.

the orcs are very one dimensional and not really explored as their own culture. They are represented as a very propagandisticly evil rapist cuthroats with zero depth to them as a species or Culture who's only interest is to capture loot rape and pillage. This is coming across as just badguy red shirts to kill and not be a credible threat or fleshed out in anyway other than Better Technology and Numbers.

The wargs are another issue, clearly intelligent and a slave race of the orcs yet the supposedly Good Guys never try to take advantage of the clear resentment towards thier masters and spark a rebellion for the purpose of distraction or maybe even form a more lasting alliance, which I find incredibly short sighted and hope is not an issue that becomes a continuous problem.

My biggest gripe is that compared to the first two books VERY little exploration of the culture of this new Island is really performed, and by what we are given its Literally absurd that the Super Pacifist hippies they start out as would have lasted this long. We went from capable fighters in book one and two to a hippie commune that Literally is unwilling to so much as kill a single orc in thier own Defence. Then these women are almost miraculously transformed into an army of Mary Sues that Literally dance rings around the orcs how never bothered with fortifications or anything of a defence strategy for thier colony on this island.

So that all rounds up to my final problem. The victory at the end battle was far to easy a win. there's a lot of building up just how much more advanced the orcs and how many of them there is and yet despite Literally bringing a 15 century man o war to the fight they simply beach it and get slaughtered on the beach instead of using any ranged weapons AT ALL! There's ACTUALLY Cannons on the ship that are never used to bombard or even fire a single shot at the bow and arrow armed Mary Sue island.
