Description

An existence spent being forced to kill others to satiate a Monster.

Where the only thing to look forward to was the blessed, if brief, period of time between paying that bribe.

Except that very same Monster is and isn’t Rene.

It just happened to live inside his own mind and force him to do what it wanted. Rather than being an actual Monster.

That was Rene’s entire life until a fateful day changed that.

A day that the career as a hitman for hire built on the Monster’s needs will end. Where Rene will be forced to atone for his actions. To be held accountable and judged.

Except the verdict is already long since passed and needs no deliberation.

His sentence was being sent hundreds of years into the past, into a different world even, where he must live a life for the betterment of others. Every action judged as it happens and weighed out against him.

But even this new idyllic life he’s been living in for 18 years is about to go off the rails and Rene will be forced back into a life lived in the underworld.

Armed with a few gifts granted to him by the one who judged him, gifts better suited to a fantasy about living in a video game, Rene has to maneuver his way back to his new life while using all the things he’d learned in his old one.

Except using those skills is a double-edged sword. If he’s not careful, he’ll end up right back where he started.

Dead and on his way to hell.

Warning and minor spoiler: This novel contains graphic violence, undefined relationships/harem, unconventional opinions/beliefs, and a hero who is as tactful as a dog at a cat show. Listen at your own risk.

Amazing story

I enjoyed every bit of this from the dark humour of the watcher to the kid like behaviour of Rene's "friend".
Andrea did a fantastic job of making all the voices believable, including all of Rene's different public characters.

Story review

Loved the story. Andrea was a brilliant pick for the narrator. The bloopers are hilarious.

I hope William writes a sequel.

Great Story

His books never seems to disappoint me and is always a fun read. This is a very good starting book for a trilogy and excited for more. Andrea Parsneau is a national treasure and needs to be protected at all cost!!!

I don't know what she was paid but it probably wasn't enough she brought the book to Life

Hilarious

This book is great, but is made much better by Andrea Parsneau choosing to use Runner’s voice and mannerisms when reading off the ‘status’ windows. This book is one of my favorites already, but this addition makes me die laughing every time.
Great performance, I love it a lot

Isekai LitRPG Novel

If you have ever seen a harem anime that is pretty much this. The protagonist is overpowered and wins multiple women’s affection with little to no consequence. The female characters have little to no actual role in the story other than their initial meetings. They are ultimately not even need it because the main protagonist is so overpowered.

The title of the series, “MONSTER,” stems from a InterVoice that acts as a split personality or possible possession to the protagonist. This voice is cartoonishly homicidal and for no apparent reason later becomes more comedic relief.

In all honesty The only redeeming virtue this product has is the voice actress who is very talented.

Creepy way for Author to relive Rider

Uses weird plug in of little girls to try and make up for the weird relationship the author requires for his MCs. It is just annoying how much effort he puts into putting them in the way of the "story?" Started sort of sensible and interesting with a unique MC, then two girls and some side characters got added in with some weird stuff about kids and Rider was the MC again.

Good story and narration

Characters are really fun I especially enjoyed the monster aspect of his personality Also this author is good at writing harem in away that is not the main focus of the story and serves as comedic points in the plot if you’ve read or listened to other works by William D Arand you’ll like this to

Fantastic Amazing Best WDA novel Ever

This has to be the best antihero novel ever written and even has a LitRPG element that doesn’t overwhelm the story. Ms. Parsneau is at the top of her game with the voice characterization as well.

Not for me

I got really bored about halfway through the second chapter. I'm a big fan of Andrea's narration, but I have trouble getting into this authors books. It's not bad, just isn't my style. the premise seems interesting, but it got boring and downright annoying at times.

Decent just to much cringe

Edgy Overpowered Mc (isekied) hitman gets a new start on. Cringe, over the top wish fulfillment.

Just a little confusing

I love the story and the narrator but my only issue is that the Male voices sound very much alike to me at times which made it hard to fully understand sometimes otherwise I love it.
