Thoroughly enjoyed this book. Get story that really made the scenes feel like you where transported to other countries as if you changed worlds.

Riveting, Layered in Deceipt

The narrator’s heinous South African accent nearly ruined this book. It bled into his Russian accents at times. Just don’t even try if you can’t do the accent.

Great book terrible accent

Another excellent book from this ex-CIA analyst come writer/podcaster. Great pace and intrigue with plot complexities worthy of Le Carre. The author uses many facets of our world such as tec, crypto, and the Ukraine-Russia war to park the narrative firmly in the present. The narrator is unfortunately not great with an absolutely terrible Afrikaans accent. Also sometimes Anna’s accent merges with Sia’s and Max’s with some of the Russians. After a while I just parked my frustration to one side and just listened to the story which was great.
