I loved the slow unravelling of the mystery. I liked the different revelations and what each character added. Even though the slightly unfinished ending bothers me, it still fit the story.

not quit sure
I'm not quite sure what to make of this. I appreciate what the author was trying to do, but overall it was just too gimmicky and not well suited to audiobook format. if you want to watch a TV true crime documentary, watch one on TV. It was ultimately twist after twist just for the sake of it, with very little verisimilitude. The whole set up was pretty ridiculous, and the ending was rushed and made no sense. When you accuse every character in the book of the murder, ultimately, the last unaccused character will be the culprit in the end...so you could see it coming a mile away. But it still made no sense. i couldn't keep track of the multiple narrators very well, and the main character family members were pretty one-dimensional. Overall, this standalone is disappointing and I look forward to returning to the author's more grounded DI series.

Top 5 most tedious books I’ve ever listened to.
Poorly written
Poorly paced
Much too repetitive
Presented in a “podcast type” format rather than a traditional novel.

Too difficult to follow...
Boring. Difficult to follow. Not a recommended book for an audible user. You have to be 100% focuses to understand a thing.

Performance great story was okay
I loved that there were many different performers and voices lended to carry the story. It really carried it so much better than trying to read the book. The story was just decent. There were lots of unneeded information that didn’t carry the story forward.

Meh…I Wouldn’t Recommend
Maybe the physical read is better, but for audible, this was hard to follow who is who and overall the book didn’t have a true climax. There were so many “twists” that it got to be annoying.

Great mystery!
I loved reading this book… I mean, listening to this book… I wish it had come with a way for me to see the characters and their statistics and other information as it does in the physical book. I had to replay the first three chapters 2 or 3 times. And throughout the rest of the book, I found myself having to replay certain parts, so I could completely understand it. Overall, it was a great book, and I thoroughly enjoyed it! Great twists throughout the book and a great ending! So how about a sequel?

Just don't do it
I returned this boon because it was so bad. Waste of an audible credit. The first 40 minutes was basically a recitation of bio/resumes of an endless number of characters you'll have no hope of remembering as they have NO narrative context. In fact, most of this book had little to no narrative context.

Diabolically Clever
Wow! I really loved this. So much fun, I loved the format of the book & it’s perfect for an audiobook listen. VERY highly recommended for those that craved a complicated puzzle to unravel.
