Different and enjoyable
I'll start off by saying this isn't the kind of book that's typically in my wheelhouse. I enjoy zombie books and apocalypse stuff, and anything medical related so I thought I'd give it a whirl. The concept was fairly well executed, however about 60% of the way through I found the pacing kind of slow and the purpose of the story seemed to get a little bit lost. I didn't find myself eager to finish it, but I stuck with it. The ending was better than the middle, nothing fantastic but still satisfying, though it didn't leave me wanting to continue the series. #audible1

Great book! Great Narration! BUT - Audible.ca FAIL
Loved this book, and the narrator is a big part of the reason why I went on to purchase and thoroughly enjoy, books 2 and 3. But when I tried to purchase books 4-7, I was notified that they are not available for sale/download in Canada ... despite books 4-7 showing up in Audible.ca's book listing... so disappointed!!
There is no indication that books 4-7 will not be accessible in Canada, and had I known I could not complete the series, I would not have purchased books 1-3. I am so let down ... :(
Contacting Audible.ca's customer support and customer content, only resulted in pro-forma responses that did not address this / my issue.
So if you live in Canada - just BE WARNED that, after reading the very enjoyable White Trash Zombie, books 1-3... you will be left hanging and disappointed!

Amazing!
The narrator reads the story well and her voice isn't grating like some of the others. The storyline is fantastic and Angels sense of humour has me snorting out loud while working. Diana Rowland is a writing genius l!

southern gothic with paranormal twist

Drags a little, but...
It's a pretty good book. 3/5 stars from me. The middle of the story drags on a bit which made finishing the book a bit of a hassle, and the ending was rather quick and left me wondering how the pieces fit together. Either way, this is a good zombie read and I loved the narrator's performance.
