Absolutely Brilliant!

This twisty whodunit set sometime in the unspecified near future was a joy to listen to. I didn't care so much who did it as I did about what had just happened, and what would happen next. Lowman gave it a flawless reading. Williams gave us a beautifully crafted cohesive story with all the things in all their right places. Nothing was filler and no threads were left untied. I couldn't stop listening and, for the first time in a long time, I have zero criticism. If you haven't read it yet, I envy you. I'd love to be able to read it again for the first time.

So, so, so good

The best book I have listened to in a very long time. Very creative, intriguing story and excellent narration. I immediately looked to see if the author had any other books. SO. GOOD.

Highly recommend

This audio book is perfect- perfect narration and interesting story that moves in unexpected directions. One of the best audio books I have listened to in a long time!

this is a good book wowow

I love how much of the story isn't driven by the murder itself, but by the protagonist Lou reflecting on what it means for her to have been murdered. The survivor's guilt, the way people look at her, how she feels like an alien in 'her own body' because it's actually a clone body. How she's been changed since the trauma of death, but doesn't actually remember it, and how the death changes the world around her- people treat her differently, ask her questions, look at her in a different light. If it were a regular murder mystery I don't think I would have cared this much but instead it's something much more interesting.
