À propos de cet audio
My Pink Cane and Me is the story of my 6-time, stage 4, aggressive metastatic ovarian cancer journey. My cancer story is raw, emotional, unexpected, and inspiring. I wrote this book because I want to encourage and give hope to other people who are battling cancer. I want people to know that being diagnosed with stage 4 cancer is not always a death sentence. I am living proof that there is life after the big diagnosis.
The book spans the course of 11 years, starting from my first cancer diagnosis in 2010 to the present day. My life was completely turned upside down as I was thrust into a new world of surgery, radiation, chemotherapy, doctors/nurses, and cancer checks. Then, I had to go through it all over again each and every time cancer decided to make battles into wars.
Through it all, I found a new purpose in life, helping others to see the light at the end of their own proverbial cancer tunnels and come out to the other side.
