Tananarive Due
À propos de cet audio
Essence and New York Times best-selling author Tananarive Due has established herself as a premier figure in paranormal suspense - with champions including horror master Stephen King. My Soul to Take continues the saga of a line of immortals destined to save the world from the apocalypse.
Telepath Fana and the Life Brothers are attempting to prevent the spread of a devastating plague, but their efforts are challenged by an unlikely opponent - Fana’s fiancé, Michel.
©2011 Tananarive Due (P)2012 Recorded BooksThen there's the narration... it was just awful. All the men sounded the same, like grizzly bears talking. Jessica sounded like Phoenix sounded like Alex... the only one you could identify was Fana. She pronounced Fana's name differently (FA-NA like banana or FAH-NA), sometimes in the same sentence! Listening to her read the Michel lines were painful! It was as if she based the accent on Luigi Risotto from The Simpsons! Sadly, I don't know if a good narrator could have saved it.
If you read the previous books and want to know how it ends, just imagine an ending in your mind. It will probably be better.
Lousy Book Further Ruined by Terrible Narration
