Lousy Book Further Ruined by Terrible Narration

After reading the previous book, I was so looking forward to reading the last one. The story was slow, confused, and rife with hyperbole. The scenes between Fana & Michel went on way too long. The story arc between Fana and Johnny didn't make sense to me. I don't understand why Mark's fate was so terrible considering he wasn't the only one at fault. It was as if she made all the characters and story so lousy we wouldn't mind her ending it.
Then there's the narration... it was just awful. All the men sounded the same, like grizzly bears talking. Jessica sounded like Phoenix sounded like Alex... the only one you could identify was Fana. She pronounced Fana's name differently (FA-NA like banana or FAH-NA), sometimes in the same sentence! Listening to her read the Michel lines were painful! It was as if she based the accent on Luigi Risotto from The Simpsons! Sadly, I don't know if a good narrator could have saved it.
If you read the previous books and want to know how it ends, just imagine an ending in your mind. It will probably be better.
