A simple yet deeply moving story that I truly appreciated. The narration was engaging, though I sometimes wished for more variation in character voices, as it could be a little confusing at times. Still, it was a very enjoyable and worthwhile listen.

This book won an award? It’s not the authors best work. Try another one. The series are good. I think some of the issue is with the narrator. He made Aaron so gloomy, much like an infamous purple donkey that keeps losing its tail. I think the narrator could have read the story and still given the character some strength. I’d like to think the narrator improves in other audiobooks.

eh. the book is fine. a bit boring. just... basic.

the characters should be better developed than this. but the trauma never gets addressed, which just doesn't make any sense, especially as 'character' is so central to the plot. it keeps it light, but it makes the characters seem unrealistic.
