My favorite non-fiction in recent years!

This is by far the best framework I've seen implemented in a book such as this. The use of the question and answer system, and the division of subjects like War and Society make it both an enjoyable read and listen.

Garrett Ryan has a flair for writing a subtle balance of comedy, antiquarian and historical, and anecdotal history. I can't wait to see and hear more from him!

Stephen Graybill is ever the professional, and the perfect person to read this equally complicated and smartly accessible book.

Great book, poor narration

Unfortunately the narration can be very poor at times. Sometimes the narrator will pause at inappropriate times which completely changes the meaning of the sentence to not make sense. His intonation needs work. That being said he does have a pleasant voice purely by the sound of it.

Would have really loved if Garrett narrated his own book, he's excellent at doing his own videos.
