À propos de cet audio
For over two decades it's been public knowledge that there has been an ongoing problem with immigrant grooming gangs in the UK. Unfortunately, the prevailing "political correctness" and fear of being labelled "racist" caused social services, police, the court system, press, and politicians to dodge the issue, even going so far as labelling the victims as child-prostitutes and blaming them for their own abuse.
Countless government reports and reviews over those decades were carried out, but successively the recommendations were ignored, side-lined, or defunded over time. Those same reports that often reached dubious conclusions were then used by politicians to swat aside calls from the public for a full national investigation by claiming there was no need for it. Yet all the failures were at the local level, meaning that local investigations could not compare against other regions, and might because of the local nature, even be tainted.
Finally in June of 2025, the government produced this report that audited the previous position held by the government (which was to do nothing), and forced a U-Turn by the Prime Minister.
