À propos de cet audio

Press play on happily ever after in this charming, heartfelt holiday rom-com.

Nick Winters and Noel Carter have known each other their whole lives. After years of shared family holidays, working together on the Winters’ Christmas tree farm, and being each other's safe haven, they wouldn't dream of crossing the line from friends to something more....

But when Nick comes home for the holidays after serving overseas and finds that his long-term girlfriend has decided to get her stocking stuffed elsewhere, Noel is there to pick him up and show him that instead of a Blue Christmas he can still have a Wonderful Christmastime without his cheating ex.

A night on the town and an impulsive kiss later has Noel thinking that perhaps this year they’ll be rockin’ around the Christmas tree as a couple, but only if the ghost - er rather - girlfriend of Nick's Christmas past doesn’t decide to haunt their holiday....

This book is sweet, but I felt like we are chasing our tails throughout the entire novel.
From chapter one Nick realizes his feelings towards Noel are different, and even though she's his best friend, he's feeling a different type of attraction. Meanwhile, Noel always hid an attraction to Nick, but it takes 10 long hours for them to get their s*** together and declare that they love each other in the big way, not the friendly way, 10 long hours!! if they had simply communicated with each other, we could have finished this book in five hours.

I started skipping chapters because of the repetitive, almost nonsensical way, the story just kept looping. it was: Oh, maybe I care about her more? And I want something more? Oh, maybe we shouldn't do anything, because then we'll lose our friendship. Oh, that kiss was awesome. Oh, maybe we shouldn't ...over and over, so I started skipping chapters and unless I missed it. The one thing that would have cleared this entire c*** up is them actually being adults and thinking that if either of them got into a serious relationship and either moved away, got married or had kids, would their friendship stay the same? i would have appreciated some actual adult conversation and communication in this book, but it felt like the characters, even though they were closer to 30, maturity wise were closer to 19.

I understand or I think I understand why the author made Noel a nurse. Almost to soften her up, make her endearing, show a different side of her, but it fell flat because you can't flip your personality that way. She can't be snarky, rude, hot tempered and in her own words, an a****** outside of the hospital and then walk in,seeing the same people in that small town that she does outside and then all of a sudden, she's this kind, empathetic, gentle person who's going to hold your hand and whisper words of sympathy and encouragement. maybe I skipped the chapter where the author reveals that Noel is the way she is outside of the hospital as a mechanism for coping with her own personal loss, so she created a separate persona to keep people away so that she won't lose anyone else. But maybe I'm thinking too much of it.

sweet but way too long and repetitive

This was a cute and sweet Christmas romance about two best friends who finally decide to take the leap and admit their feelings for each other.
The narration was good and I really enjoyed the story.

It was a very predictable but sweet book.
As I get ready for Christmas I’ve been bingeing Christmas books and this was a great start to the series but I did find the book was a little long and dragged out considering the storyline.

Best friends since they were babies realize that they are in love with their best friend, throw in 1 nasty ex girlfriend and a fear of getting close to anyone after never properly grieving and that’s the meat of the book.

Not much spice in the book as they took things slow, so it’s a Hallmark kinda book. (In my opinion could use more spice 😆) but that’s just me

Very sweet holiday book

Would have been good if it wasn’t for the character Amber. It just got be to much for me to handle listing to the constant put downs and miserable outcomes. The fact that there isn’t even a part where her horrid personality is acknowledged by Nick (MMC) or FMCs best friend 🙄. I just couldn’t do it.

Firstly, the narrators were spot on! They totally brought Nick and Noele to life and they paired so well.

This story was well written, the characters had depth and were easy to relate to. I loved the relationships not just with N&N but also with their friends. There were struggles and conflicts just like IRL. Of course the conversations and banter were amazing.

I adored all the musical references and the idea of N&N making each other Playlist as their thing.

Throw in the holidays and the town of Mistletoe and you've got a perfect holiday read. Definitely recommend this one.

what a great story
