The book includes his hiking of the 2,100 mile Appalachian Trail in winter, bicycling across the United States, homesteading off grid, the terror of being surrounded by a wildfire, surprise encounters with bears, and more. Loved!
Didn’t want the book to end and was totally sad when it did! Loved everything about the story and the authors adventures living off grid and how he got there. Highly recommend!

What a journey
I found Ron's journey and the enthusiasm in which he told it enjoyable. I would pause and return and it was just like hanging out with an old friend. An enjoyable read about an experience I am unlikely to ever have!
