The story is more underdeveloped than one would expect from this genre. At times it’s downright ridiculous and illogical. The spicy scenes are still hot and the slowly building sexual tension and chemistry between the FMC & MMC is good. I only wish the story wasn’t so rudimentary. There are a lot of side stories happening in this book that never get resolved, so I’m assuming those are the other books in this series. The narration is ok. Not amazing, but not terrible. The female narrator’s rendition of the male voices is so forced and unnatural sounding. She makes them all sound a bit bumbling. She also narrates with the tone of a comedy (it’s not) making the MMC sound more like a surfer bro than a sophisticated hotelier from New York.
