In a land fraught with hardship, Amelia and Gilbert struggle to overcome prejudice and political upheaval, while forging a life in a remote country where events seek to destroy their love and lives.
Performed by acclaimed narrator Jenny Hoops, the story comes alive with vivid characters and thrilling storytelling. The harsh environment of New Brunswick is a wonderful backdrop to the story of the immigrants, male and female, who left their homes and families, crossed oceans, and endured unimaginable hardships in order to settle the Canadian wilderness and build new lives in a rough and untamed country.
