About midway through the 21st century, the tilt of the earth's axis started to shift drastically and the seasons began to change. Most of the world quickly became completely uninhabitable in the new harsh, unforgiving climate. This global event, known as “The Shift”, nearly wiped out the human race.
Growing up long after, orphaned sisters Annie and Maggie struggle to survive in the ruins of what was once the Island of Manhattan. The ultra-wealthy have taken refuge in climate-controlled bubbles spanning over entire sections of the formerly booming metropolis. But when these bubbles begin to fail, the sisters may be their only hope for survival out in The Elements where it is always cold, always gray, and always One Season.
