The books picks up right where the previous book left off, which means you're already in the action. It does a great job of keeping up with older and new characters. I say this book does a much better job of connecting with the characters as when I finished OtherEarth I liked the story but didn't care for any of the characters (who were guaranteed to be in this book!). It is a middle book of a trilogy which to me always slightly feel the same. Jason Segal voice work is great as expected It does an amazing job of connecting plot lines from the first book.
