i had previously read the book a number of years ago and feel cheated by this shortened version.

Wish it had not been abridged!

One of my favourite things about these audiobooks is the narrator John McDonough! And although he is listed as the narrator, the recording is not him. Very disappointing. I don’t even want to listen to it anymore.

Love Jan Karon and although I prefer Jon McDonough I did not mind Jan’s narration however I hate abridged books . It leaves way too much out . I hate that some people may only hear this and never know the richness of the full story .

Why abridge it ?!

I originally was disappointed that the unabridged version was no longer available, but I actually enjoyed listening to Jan Karon the author reading this abridged version. I love listening to Jan’s voice and it was nice to hear her reading one of her books.
