horse racing addicts meet hostile alien. Catastrophe ensues. I wouldn't say that Malzberg is a great writer, but he is certainly an interesting writer, both in terms of writing style and plot. There is nothing "same old, same old" about this story. it is certain to be quite different from anything you have encountered before.
